McKINLAY, Robert William “Bob” – Passed away peacefully, at Hospice Peterborough, on Friday September 20, 2019, with his family at his side. Bob of Peterborough, formerly of Seagrave and Blackstock, was 75 years of age.
Beloved husband of Brenda (nee Malcolm) for 20 years. Loving step-father of Annette Pipher (Mark McKee) and Tony Haines (Darlene). Dear Grandpa of Brett, Ryan, Kenny, Natalie and Donovan. Brother of Patricia Hadfield (John), Richard McKinlay and Mary Jane Walker (late Terry). Bob will be remembered by many other relatives and friends.
Retired from Roadway & ACL Transport. Bob enjoyed gardening and travelling the world with Brenda. Bob loved spending time with his grandchildren, nieces and nephews and watching them thrive. An avid reader (three papers/day and four books /week). Bob was also a diligent member of the United Church of Canada and enjoyed his neighborhood social club.
Cremation entrusted to the Ashburnham Funeral Home & Reception Centre. A memorial reception is arranged for family, friends and neighbors.
