Marie emigrated to Australia with her mother and 3 siblings in 1946, when the British government de-mobilized (de-mobbed) the family. Growing up in OZ, she later decided to travel. Her worldly travels finally brought her to Canada, where she met the love of her life & soulmate, Don, to whom she was married for over 30 years. She was pre-deceased by both parents, brother Rickie (Australia), sister Nadine (Australia), and brother Patrick (Pickering). She is survived by husband, Donald, sister Judith (Melbourne, AU), and a “downunder” gaggle of nieces, nephews, grand & great-grand nieces & nephews who will all miss their wonderful Auntie Marie. Marie began her working career at the Bank of New South Wales, later the Toronto Stock Exchange & Beutel Goodman. Age 50 brought a career change as she returned to school to study massage therapy, a career she truly loved. An excellent athlete who loved and participated in all sports including curling at Lakefield C.C. Her greatest passion however was golf. She was an active player and committee worker at Weston Golf & C.C., Peterborough Golf & C.C. and also held a membership at The Quarry G.C. “She traveled the world touching hearts everywhere. Her earthly journey, now complete, she is at peace and at rest”.
