In his 63rd year, Murray took up his canoe paddle and beloved canoe and said goodbye to his cancer battle.
A devoted and beloved husband of 40 years to Peggy and loving father and teacher to his son, Nicholas (Madeleine). His faithful companion, a golden retriever named Shiraz or fondly known as RazzaLee is missing him. Son to Frank Edwin and the late Shirley May Hurrell. Murray will be remembered by his siblings, Sharon, Donna and Paul and nieces and nephews.
His 40+ year career in the plumbing/heating industry took him across Ontario and Eastern Canada. Murray was looked upon by many for his advice with home renos, building kitchen cabinets, decks and a gazebo. He has passed along his knowledge and experience to Nicholas along with his many tools.
Murray was happiest when he could escape to Algonquin Park with his canoe, a backpack of supplies, looking forward to paddling, a portage or two and a relaxing campfire.
Please raise a glass of single malt scotch, Guinness or red wine in memory of Murray.
